Mandatory Documents (All Applicants)
- Passport: Valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
- Old Passports: To show previous travel history.
- DS-160 Confirmation Page: The page with the barcode, filled online.
- Appointment Confirmation Letter: The letter confirming your interview date.
- Visa Fee Receipt: Proof of payment (MRV fee).
- Photograph: One 2×2 inch
Supporting Documents (Proof of Funds & Ties)- Financial Documentation: Bank statements (last 6 months), pay stubs, or income tax returns (ITR) to prove you can cover expenses
- Employment Verification: A letter from your employer detailing your position, salary, and authorized leave.
- Purpose of Visit:
- B1 (Business): Invitation letter from the U.S. company/conference, and a letter from your employer.
- B2 (Tourism/Family): An invitation letter from family or friends in the U.S. or travel itinerary.
- Proof of Ties: Property documents, family records, or marriage certificates to prove you will return to your home country.
Important Notes for 2026- Visa Bond Update: For Bangladeshi applicants, a bond of up to \(\$15,000\) may be required if found eligible, per the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh.
- DS-160 Deadline: DS-160 must be submitted at least 7 days before the interview, according to US Travel Docs guidelines.
- Safety: Do not bring electronics, large bags, or prohibited items to the interview.
- Children: Children under 14 must have their own passports.
